COVID-19 Pandemic and the Situation of Immigrants in Enterprises

Abstract During the first (spring 2020) and second wave (autumn of COVID-19 pandemic, Poland was among countries with strictest regulation, lockdown, national quarantine. The pandemic has significantly influenced situation enterprises, especially for immigrants. main aim contribution this paper is analysis immigrant’s during from perspective companies. research goal identification strategies adopted by firms employing immigrants, so as to providing additional help their foreign workforce pandemic. For purpose research, a multilevel model triangulation design chosen. qualitative included seven in-depth-interviews purposefully selected enterprises. quantitative study conducted on sample n=894 employers. round 17 interviews companies immigrants were conducted. showed that employers most often terminated employment which, however, in some cases, initiative immigrant.
